UB-2485B “Wrinkle Effect” Base Coat is made to Vacuum Metallization manufacturers. Applicable to PS, ABS, Metals, Ceramics. This effect uses their different reaction rates between surface and inner layer. Excellent performance on wrinkle effect, quick drying, hardness, workability. It can be used on parts of products such as cosmetics, toys, clocks, furniture, daily goods, presents.

【Application】

UB-2485B “Wrinkle Effect” Base Coat can spray directly. Please notice: coating is too thin to have good wrinkle effect; coating is too thick to have wrinkle effect evenly. Because of high viscosity, it is not easy to mist when spraying. We suggest to increase the amount of spraying or use a bigger sprayer to fix these problems. Spray on expected areas but no coat dropping. The spraying pressure should be 3.5-4.0kg/cm² (Be careful of pressure controlling and better to use pressure can) and the distance should be 15-20 cm. After spraying on materials evenly, we suggest put the materials into oven within 30 minutes to keep the stability of wrinkle effect.

Based on thickness and materials, the baking condition should be 60-100℃ and 120-180 minutes. To ensure completely dry up the coating, please keep oven temperature evenly. Keep good air circulation of oven and exhale the dirty air made by solvents when baking. After baking, leave the materials about one hours then vacuum metallization to have better hardness.

【Top Coat】

Please use UT-801, UT-846-2 or our other top coats add into oil dyestuffs for spraying.

【Notices】

1. Please finish UB-2485B “Wrinkle Effect” Base Coat in one week after opening to avoid gelatinization.

2.  Plastic materials usually contaminate with internal lubricant, mold release agent, and dust during injection process. To ensure good adhesion and smooth surface during Vacuum Metallization, please clean the material with solvent before coating process.

3.  Due to the special ingredient, please use water cleaning type spraying equipment. Excessive paint and dust accumulation may cause spontaneous combustion. Please clean up frequently. These accumulations have to store with water to prevent spontaneous combustion.

4.  Please keep good air circulation in working place to avoid harming health due to long-term breathing in solvent. If chemicals splash into eye or on skin accidently, immediately flush contacting area by huge amount of water then send to medical treatment.

5.  UB-2485B “Wrinkle Effect” Base Coat must be stored in cool and dry indoor room under 40℃. The expired time is one year in unopened situation.

6.  Please keep cap closing after opening and finish within one week to avoid affecting quality because of solvent evaporation.
